From 1 container to Milano — our first Salone experience

Milano, Salone del Mobile is where design, energy and people come together in one of the most inspiring and intense settings in the world. This year marked a significant milestone for Mowelli, not only because we were present, but because we actively became part of the conversation.

During Salone, we hosted two events, bringing together partners, press, creatives and friends of the brand. The focus was on connection and inspiration, while consciously creating space for something that is often missing during a week like this: a moment to slow down and truly engage.

Creating space in the middle of intensity

Salone is known for its pace. Fast, dense and often overwhelming. Instead of following that rhythm, we chose to shift it.

During our breakfast event, we introduced chair yoga as part of the experience. What started as a simple idea turned into a genuinely grounding moment, allowing people to pause, breathe and reconnect in the middle of Milano. It noticeably changed the energy in the room.

Alongside this, we hosted a series of informal talks centred around the future of seating. Conversations explored how design can influence the way people gather, how comfort impacts how long people stay, and how spaces can be approached more consciously. The feedback was strong, engaged and genuinely positive, confirming that this is a direction worth building further.

A first introduction to what’s next

Milano also became the moment where we introduced something new for the first time. We shared a first glimpse of Mowelli Studio, our stainless steel collection launching in May 2026. Still in its early phase, but already a clear extension of the brand, both in material and in vision.

Looking at this moment in perspective makes it even more meaningful. Not long ago, this journey started with a simple idea and a container ordered without fully knowing what would follow. Hosting a full breakfast event in Milano during Salone now feels both surreal and incredibly motivating.

A first chapter

This was our first experience at Salone del Mobile, but it immediately felt like more than just a one-time milestone. It confirmed the direction we are moving in and opened the door to what comes next.

We are already looking forward to returning.

CAOS, Antwerp — where Nora becomes part of every conversation

In the heart of Antwerp, CAOS brings a new way of dining, where our Nora quietly becomes part of the culinary experience from the very beginning. Rooted in Mexican heritage, CAOS combines tradition with a modern approach, with a strong focus on detail throughout.

Nora, designed to integrate seamlessly

Both the Nora Dining and Nora Bar in walnut are used throughout the space, creating a clear connection between table and bar. The walnut finish adds warmth and depth, balancing the materials and atmosphere of the interior.

Designed for long-term comfort and durability, Nora supports extended use without compromising on aesthetics, supporting the kind of experience CAOS is built to offer.

When concept and space align

At CAOS, the restaurant’s identity goes beyond the menu. Mexican culinary heritage is reinterpreted through a contemporary approach, with a strong focus on high-quality, local, and seasonal ingredients. This balance between tradition and modernity gives CAOS a distinct character.

The same thinking continues into the interior, which supports the overall experience. Around the table, flavours, conversations, and moments come together naturally, with our Nora quietly supporting that rhythm.

This project is a strong example of how concept and interior can reinforce one another. It is not about adding more, but about choosing elements that make the experience feel coherent from start to finish.

A considered choice for hospitality

In a setting like CAOS, every element has to earn its place. Seating shapes comfort and influences how long guests choose to stay. With Nora Dining and Nora Bar in walnut, the choice is both practical and intentional. The material adds character, the design supports daily use, and the overall presence fits naturally within the restaurant.

It’s a reminder that the right chair doesn’t stand out, but makes everything around it work better.

A Soulful Interior by Eva Delbarre, Completed with Dianne

For this project in Knokke-Heist, Eva Delbarre brings her signature way of working to life. She sees a home as more than a beautiful space, it should feel warm, personal, and naturally connected to the people who live in it. In that carefully composed interior, our Dianne feels right at home.

With a hands-on approach that follows a project from the earliest ideas to the final details, Eva creates interiors shaped by atmosphere, comfort, and a strong sense of balance. From materials to styling, every element is chosen to create a space that feels thoughtful, inviting, and genuinely lived in.

Where Dianne Meets Eva’s Vision

Thoughtfully chosen by Eva, the Dianne dining chair in walnut finds her place around the table. With her rounded backrest, softly padded seat, and solid ash wood frame, she brings exactly the kind of comfort and refinement this setting calls for. More than a finishing touch, she helps shape a space that is ready to welcome long dinners, slow mornings, and the kind of moments that bring friends and family together.

A Natural Fit for Thoughtful Projects

In projects like this, the strength lies in how naturally everything comes together. Guided by Eva’s belief that a home should reflect the people who live in it, the interior feels personal, balanced, and full of quiet character.

In that context, Dianne responds naturally to the personality of the space. She is not only there to complete the interior, but to support the life unfolding within it. With a presence that adapts easily to different interiors, Dianne always seems to belong.

Our Ella Dining and Ella Barstool were featured in a bespoke project by THRIOM Studio in Milano. A contemporary wellness space founded by Marie V., a Belgian creative, where movement, recovery, and mindful design come together.

For this project, the Ella collection was fully upholstered by Rebo Atelier Bogaert. The distinctive orange upholstery was developed specifically for this project, highlighting the adaptability of the design across distinctive interiors while maintaining a refined and timeless presence.

A collaboration shaped by craftsmanship, soft forms, and intentional spaces, with a shared Belgian connection at its core.

With Leo, everything comes down to clarity. Crafted by hand, he carries a sense of ease from the very first moment. He is the kind of piece you choose once and don’t question again.

The seat is handwoven using natural grass, a process that requires both time and precision. Each strand is placed by hand, creating a surface that is strong, breathable, and subtly flexible. This technique gives the chair a natural comfort that doesn’t rely on artificial materials.

Leo is available as a dining chair and as a bar stool, each designed with the same sense of balance and proportion. The function changes, but the design remains consistent across both versions. Finished in rubwood brown or tuxedo black, each option brings its own character.
